Hello!  Welcome to the magic of watercolor and my expression of nature’s beauty!  My journey into watercolor painting began only six years ago on the Gulf Coast of Texas.   I had no actual experience in art, only my 30 years of teaching English; however, I had a great appreciation for the landscape paintings of my mother.  It was then that I met my instructor who would become my mentor for the next three years.

 

I began painting the wonderful marine and ocean life with my Texas instructor.  Later, I studied with other watercolorists and discovered my passion for landscapes and waterscapes.  My travels throughout the mountainous deserts of Texas and New Mexico, the rivers and mountains of Montana and Wyoming, the lakes and forests of my homestate Minnesota, and the iconic natural wonders of my new home, Oregon, all are nature’s inspirations in my gallery of watercolor.  

 

My art is exhibited in Texas at the Port Aransas Art Center, Jo D’s Gallery; in Minnesota at MacRostie Art Center; in Bend, Oregon, at venues through the Sagebrushers Art Society.
